What we Believe
What we believe is important because it has a direct relationship to and influence over what we do. It is therefore important that what we believe unites us as a church. We see the church as God's family in action, serving the community, teaching Christian values and introducing people to faith.
The Statement of Faith
The statement of faith is taken from the Assemblies of God of Great Britain which is the largest Pentecostal denomination. The statement of faith is a source of unit and it is important as a basis for unity in the ministry of the full gospel of Jesus Christ. This unity of belief is essential for the grounding of new believers in the faith.
The Mission Statement
The mission statement explains the reason or purpose for the existence of the church.
“The purpose of Watton Pentecostal Church is to give every man, woman and child the opportunity of understanding the gospel and to provide a church where they can grow and develop in ministry for the glory of God.”
The Values Statement
The 'values' Statement seeks to explain the standards that the church sets for the way that the church operates and for the lifestyle of the church.
'Watton Pentecostal Church seeks to operate with the values of Love, Integrity, Trust, Respect, Grace and Transparency in all areas of church and personal life whilst promoting the growth of the individual towards spiritual maturity and to recognise the diversity of ministries within the church'.
